After a long and dangerous journey, properly timed with the season, the expedition reaches the Realms of the Ancient Giants.  In addition to witnessing one of the Ancient Giants up close, the members of the crew encounter a community of Centaurs who have migrated to the farthest northern areas away from the spread of the Monster Races, and have adapted to the difficult climate.  With a demonstration of the Magic of Nature and the granting of communication from the Omen of the Most High, the expedition finds favor with the leader of the clan, and they offer the summons crystal as a gift. The Centaur leader pledges to visit D'nashk Re'at to see if an alliance would be beneficial to his people.

The Dwarven King of Ranu releases a force of Duegars and Goblins upon the Halfling Kingdoms, led by five Drow Wizards. They are temporarily delayed as they wait for soldiers from Indar at a predetermined rendezvous point, who were scheduled to arrive by sea to join the attacking forces. When a messenger bird arrives with news that the ships have been stranded in the Eslen Ocean by hurricane force winds that destroyed their sails, they reluctantly continue on without them. The soldiers are unchallenged along the borders of the Halflings and they do not encounter the Stag Guardians. When they reach the capital of the Halflings they find it abandoned.

Meanwhile, a party of Heroes approach the Dwarven City of Ranu to convince the Kings there to side with them against Da'rahad.  When asked for proof that the Emperor is the prophesied Agent of Darkness, and Cur'Raden the prophesied Champion of the Most High, the leading Hero agrees to be put to death in front of the Dwarves and then left alone while the King's Seal revives him.  The very next day, the Hero stands alive and well before the Dwarven Kings, and they are convinced to join the war.

As the Drow Wizards and their army cross over into the Southern Kingdoms of the Elves, they are met by a combined force of Stag Guardians, Elves and Halflings. But before a battle can begin, word from Ranu reaches the Duergars and they turn back. The Drow Wizards unleashed the Goblins against them for treason, but they are immediately flanked by an attack from the Guardians, Elves and Halflings. The Drow Wizards and the Goblins are defeated.

Dates: 3022

Thasdook is surrounded on all sides by opposing forces as the Mermaid Queen and Prince Bomar enter the bay. The Mermaids defeat a group of Sirens who were posted as guards near the mouth of the bay while the Royal Guard and forces from Indar arrive at the Docks. The forces are joined on land by the Half-Orc King, the Northern Kingdoms of Men, soldiers from Clorn, more Royal Guard from D'nashk Re'at, Elven Warriors from Washonan, and Kagron the Dragon.

A great battle wages as Maargog unleashes the full might of his Undead Armies, his Elite Royal Guard, his Court of Magicians, and his remaining Agents of Darkness.

Maargog is finally convinced by the Circle of Kings to perform the Phoenix Ritual that will unleash the Demonic Legions upon the Land of the Living.  During the ritual, Maargog himself is transformed through a blue grotesque flame into a demonic creature and the hordes are released.

Cur'Raden then appears with an army of Ancient Stewards to combat the Legions. The battle is fierce and swift, and the Legions are forced to retreat.

Cur'Raden commands Prince Bomar to lead the remaining Heroes (39 in all) in a siege against the palace and Maargog, and they all begin to shine with a bright white light as the King's Seal fills them with power.

Maargog escapes through the portal that brought forth the Legions and closes it behind him as the Heroes break into his chamber. Maargog is never seen again in the Lands of the Living.

Story: The End of Maargog's Reign...

Dates: 3023

Cur'Raden accepts the Throne of Xanthonia, Middle Kingdom of the Elves, and settles in Washonan on the shores of the Morning Sea.

Eletroth and Queen Aolin are joyfully reunited with their daughter, Princess Alta. The Royal Family is reunited with Fulskatar the Great, Keanot and Breeta. Many others cross over from death's Divide to help usher in the Kingdom of Summer.

Delegations from all the Kingdoms of the Known World arrive in Washonan and pledge allegiance to Cur'Raden and the Kingdom of Summer, and the Wars between the Races end.

The Third Age begins with the Great Banquet that lasts for seventy seven years as every citizen of the Kingdom of Summer is given chance to travel to Xanthonia and sit with Cur'Raden face-to-face in fellowship and celebration.

Cur'Raden gathers the Ministry of Heroes together (including the 40th Hero who has been revived) and divides them into three groups. The first, with Kagron the Golden Dragon and the the Dragonborn Heroes as their leaders, will travel to the Northern Wildlands. The Second,  with Half-Orc Heroes as their leaders, will travel to the Island of Kerrindale to search for the Goblin Priestess. The Third, with Drizzt Do'Urden as their leader, will return to the Drow Peoples who are still hiding, powerless and in fear, under the surface of the ground.  The Heroes are to extend an invitation to the Kingdom of Summer to any Monster or Drow who is willing…for all things have become new, and the Dark Magic of the Undead has departed from the Known World forever.

All those who accept the King shall themselves be accepted, and they shall all receive the same gift as citizens of the Kingdom of Summer - Cur'Raden himself shall place the light of the sun into their hearts and they shall never grow old or taste death. Never again shall war touch the citizens of the Kingdom of Summer, for behold the Ancient Stewards have taken their place as fierce guardians over its borders.

All those who do not accept the King shall be left outside of the Kingdom to grow old and fade away into darkness, accepting their place along side the Fallen Ones, according to the desires of their own hearts.

So says the Omen of the Most High - "Blessed are my servants who freely and joyfully walk here and there discovering the Story of Destiny that I have declared for them, and reflecting my Justice, Mercy and Love to all of creation. Yours shall be an ever-lasting inheritance."
