Story: The Dragonborn Immigration

During the reign of King Holgar, son of Fulskatar and Queen Ava the Beautiful, only a handful of people who are now called Dragonborn were citizens of D'nashk Re'at.  The Dragonborn are self-named, and considered a new Race to the other Peoples of the Known World. Their descendance is from the Kobold, but their allegiance is to the Royal Family. While none as of yet have received the Knowledge of the Most High, they have received the political vision of the Kingdom of the Free. Though trained as Dragonlords to serve a Dragon Master, like many others they have grown tired of tyranny.

A handful of Dragonborn entered D'nashk Re'at through the northern pass at Firestorm peak. They surrendered to the Royal Guard and ask for audience with the Royal Family. After declaring that they were defecting from Ashardalon and seeking citizenship with D'nashk Re'at, they offer disturbing news that not only is the legendary Ashardalon alive and well, but he has recently raised the largest Monster Army so far in history.

They also gave an account of their former Master named Kagron, an adult Golden Dragon who fell out of favor with Ashardalon when he turned from the Dark Magic of the Undead to embrace the Magic of Nature within his heart that he was born with.  Kagron released all of his Dragonlords and Kobold Soldiers from service, disguised himself as a Half-Elf and has now disappeared somewhere into the Northern Kingdoms of Men.

Despite protests from almost everyone in the kingdom, the Royal Family decided to assign the Dragonborn individuals  to the Military Outpost of  Longbridge near Firestorm Peak to prove their allegiance in the event of an attack.  For the King and Queen are passionate about the vision of D'nashk Re'at and consider the knowledge and experience of the Dragonborn to be an important military advantage against the powerful enemies to the North.  And, most important, they were selected by the same process as the other Heroes, (the Omen of the Most High). And when they were given the King's Seal, it was not painful for them to handle it, (for any who are under the influence of the Dark Magic of the Undead experience great pain if the Seal comes into contact with them).
