Located in isolation in the far north western part of the Known World, these Wildlands are populated by both ancient beasts whose origins are from the First Age and the Monster Races created by Da'rook. The Monster Races have been ruled over for many centuries by the Ancient Red Dragon Ashardalon.

In the year 3020 according to the Calendar of the Elves, Ashardalon was defeated by the Ministry of Heroes when he partnered with a Gauth (a type of Beholderkin) and tried to open a Portal Gate to let in a massive Monster Soldier invasion into D'nashk Re'at. These events took place at Firestorm Peak, an active volcano just north of the Military Outpost town of Longbridge.

Emperor Maargog continued to use his best Agents of Darkness here to build more armies from the Monster Races as he moved forward with his plans to expand the Kingdom of Darkness.
