The fortress of Loth, established during the early settlement period, is a sister-fortress to Meer's Watchtower. Its purpose is to help monitor ships traveling from the east and to keep watch for any warning signals, which they will promptly pass on to Greystone and Kazrak Point.  They are a strategic second line of defense if Meer's Watchtower should be overrun, and stand guard over the river that is large enough to hold sea vessels and travels directly from Greystone to the north.
