Atlas: The Halfling Kingdoms

Located to the east of the Dwarven Kingdoms and below the Southern Kingdoms of the Elves, the Halflings are largely ignored by everyone. They prefer to live in small agriculture communities that in recent centuries have managed to avoid most of the wars fought by the other "big peoples".

Their herald symbol represents the Halfling's close relationship with Nature. Though there are hunters among them, most are farmers and hunting is done modestly and respectfully, and never against Stags.  This is due to legends of wild Stags empowered by the Magic of Nature who have become guardians of the remote boundaries of the Halfling territories.

Some of the other Peoples believe the Elves are responsible for this, but the Elves have not confirmed or denied the rumors. If this is true then the Elves have unofficially accepted the Halflings long ago as close allies and extended their protection over them.
